Working Sifter

I love collecting minis with working parts! My latest favorite acquisition is the tiny copper working flour sifter. It is a bit big for 1:12 scale...it is nearly an inch high. But when I turn the handle, the wire sifter turns inside!

The sifter and the double-boiler were bought for $9.28 (+ $3.47 shipping) on eBay.

Hello Sumaiya,
Those are fantastic. even if they are slightly out of scale they are still incredibly well made miniatures. great purchase.
Big hug,
Giac

Thanks Giac...maybe the cook bakes a lot and needs to sift a lot of flour at the same time...:D

Hi Sumaiya! Although they are a bit out of scale, they look fantastic. That they can work too is great!
Now you have to polish the copper ;D!
Hugs, Ilona

Hi Sumaiya! I love kitchen utensils and I find that often things that seem out of scale can still be used depending upon where they are positioned in the space that they are being displayed. In the foreground, the sifter would probably look too big and awkward but in the background, the sifter would appear smaller. In any case, I think that it is marvelous that it works and the little double boiler is a treat! A great buy on both! :D
