Kitchen

This is the layout of the kitchen right now. The refrigerator is around the corner, but I might put it beside the china cabinet.

It is still very stark, as I have not started decorating it yet.

Hello Sumayia,
Before I tell you that the kitchen is looking beautiful and I love the cabinetry and wallpaper, I just have to say you did a great job with the l;ayout. I think the kitchen was one of the hardest rooms in that house to get to work and I thin your kitchen looks great. I love the china cabinet on that wall. That being said, the kitchen is looking beautiful and I love the cabinetry and wallpaper.
Big hug,
Giac

Dear Giac, before I thank you for your kind words, let me say whenever I post anything to this blog, I keep wondering what comment I would see from you next :) ... this is why I had to check my blog one last time tonight to see if you had seen the latest photos ... the thought that someone on this planet cares how far along the Garfield has progressed, keeps me coming back with more photos and posts...thanks as always for your kind words...thank you more for the encouragement!

big hug, Sumaiya

Hello Sumaiya! It is such a pity that you don't have more followers, your blog posts are worth it! But I think that lots of people can't find your blog, like I did. It was not easy to find and I can't explain the reason for this. Perhaps you can visit more blogs and leave a comment, then people can try to find you....?
Because everyone has to see your gorgeous kitchen, just like Giac said :D!
Big hug, Ilona
PS I have posted a new blogpost with a hidden surprise give away ;)! Feel free to participate, if you want to.

Dearest Ilona, your comment gave me something to think about indeed! My other blog, The Mini Food Blog, is usually the one where I am more active. This blog has been more of a personal journal so far -- but now that I am back to working on the dollhouse after the long long break, it might be nice to be able to share the process with more people.

Meanwhile, when you and others leave comments, it feels like I have friends in my workroom looking at the house :)

Oh what a Beautiful and spacious kitchen! I Love the china cabinet.... maybe because I have a black one like it in my RL house! LOL! I think the fridge should stay hidden... put it in a pantry! Your house just keeps getting better!
And I must say that I am enjoying that you are working on this house again... your blog was the first one I found years ago and brought me into blogland!

Hi Sumaiya! I love the floor and the wallpaper that you have chosen for your kitchen. The layout is really wonderful and the fittings couldn't be better. I think that the fridge next to the china cabinet would diminish the cabinet and may be better as Betsy suggests, but you certainly have lots of room to make adjustments if necessary! This is one of the perks of the Garfield.... PLenty of Room!
Keep up the Great Work! :D

I was thinking of doctoring the refrigerator to add a light on the inside. If I can make that happen, then I might bring it out to show it off. Otherwise, I will keep it just where it is right now :) Thanks for all your comments.

I think you have more of a following than you realize, most people just don't comment. I'm building the Pierce and since the houses are so similar, I read blogs on both. Keep posting and sharing ideas, it helps people like me that are less experienced.

Hi Sumayia, I haven't visited you blog for a while but I always enjoy reading it when I do. I LOVE the progress you have made. The porch railings and gingerbread trim are looking great. And the brickwork you have done around the windows has made a big difference. I am very impressed with the brick work you have done on the whole house. I put weatherboards on my garfield and it took ages so I can only imagine how long the bricks took! I am very impressed with your bathroom renovation. It is a big room and you have given me some good ideas of the layout for mine. I do not have any furniture for that room yet. Also the kitchen is looking great. Can you show a picture of the where the fridge is? Maybe peeping though the kitchen door or the bay window? I quite like the idea of being able to see the fridge but I guess it depends on if it compliments the other items in the room. Thank you for your posts, love Amy.
