The Stained Glass Window

As the late afternoon sunlight streamed in through the second floor bay window, I remarked on how forlorn the Garfield Manor looked in her quiet corner of my work room. I have started working on her again, adding a few things here and there ...

The electrical work is complete. I don't think I will be adding any exterior lights. I have paper-taped over all the crazy wires on the exterior: they look much neater now. I have started putting up the roof shingles. They are taking forever, but I am enjoying the slow and steady progress.

I got a fabulous camera lens on my birthday from my dear hubby, and a set of close-up filters from my friend. Thought I'd share photos of the stained glass window.

Sumaiya, this is stunning. I have always had a penchant for stained glass windows, and this is just. perfection.

are the windows 'working'? we don't get latch windows of this sort over here, but i've always loved them, more because as a kid i loved ghost stories and these sort feature rather heavily in horror movies LOL

yet another blog for me to drool over! so little time!

A very lovely, warm view!

Slow and steady does the trick, I learned after messing up my hastily assembled Greenleaf Orchid :)

Hey Sumaiya, I am glad you posted here again. Always dying to see what's going on at your pleasure palace! I love your stain work. They are just like the clothes you make. Like Cindy says, perfect! I also notice all the wallpaper's done. Great choice of fabric (?).

Thanks girls! :)

Yes, that's fabric. I always recommend fabric to cover dollhouse walls than those expensive miniature dollhouse wallpapers. Fabric is usually a lot cheaper and more forgiving since they don't crease or tear. They also photograph better, in my opinion...no glares, ever!

The windows aren't working, unfortunately :( ... there are working windows available for the Garfield dollhouse, but they don't come standard, and they are pretty expensive :(...

Beautiful, my dear. Is that the same paint you talked about earlier? And where is it painted..inside or outside? If inside, did you have to remove them from the wall? What a steady hand you must have.
