Bathroom
This is what the bathroom looks like right now. I cannot say I am too happy with the layout. Right now, the sink and toilet are affixed to the wall. The bathtub and the radiator are still movable.
The Chrysnbon Victorian bathroom kit also contained a medicine cabinet, but if I put it above the sink, it conflicts with the window. I wish I could close out that window.
I wish I had planned out the lighting a little better. Since the room is so big, I wanted to move the vanity to this room to create more space in the bedroom. Because of the placement of the wall sconce, it makes most sense to have the vanity right under it.
But, I am not happy with the way the bathtub looks in front of the toilet. I feel like there needs to be some sort of partition between the two.
Nice bathroom!
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful space with lots of potential! :D I like the vanity under the light with the tub by the toilet. Perhaps a shower curtain would fill in that space, add some height and make it visually interesting? You could do a vintage ring suspended from the ceiling and have the shower curtain bunched together and out of the way. Could you do a tall thin mirror over the sink instead of the medicine cabinet? I think it competes with the window since they are roughly the same size.
ReplyDeleteDear Brae,
ReplyDeleteI had a "Yes! Yes!" moment when I read your post :)
This could actually work! now my days will be spent looking for the perfect mirror and trying to figure out a way to make the antique shower ring :)
Thanks for the ideas.

Hello Sumayia,
ReplyDeleteI had that dollhouse and the bathroom was an odd size. The fixtures are really beautiful though. Just an idea, what if you created a wall with a door to separate the toilet. the extra walls on each side might help wheigh down the room, furniture placement, and might give you the opportunity to add wall lights.
The feel of the room is beautiful and one way or another it will turn out perfect.
big hug,
Giac
maybe you could add a chair for towels and a bathrobe with slippers
ReplyDeleteI think it looks wonderful
Hugs
